A mobile notary is a commissioned Rhode Island notary public who travels to your location—home, office, hospital, nursing facility, or another agreed-upon meeting spot—to notarize documents.
Atlantic Seal Notary, LLC serves all of Rhode Island.
Our normal business hours are 9:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Limited appointments outside these hours may be available by request.
We commonly notarize:
- Power of Attorney
- Affidavits and sworn statements
- Healthcare directives
- Permission slips / travel consent forms
- Vehicle title, bill of sale, and DMV-related forms
- Business documents and letters
- Other documents that require a notarial act
Not sure if your document can be notarized? Contact us and we’ll help confirm what you need.
We cannot notarize:
- Documents with required blanks left empty (you may complete them before the appointment)
- Documents that are already signed (unless the document specifically allows it and the notarization type permits it)
- Any situation where the signer is not present, not willing, or does not appear to understand what they’re signing
- We also can’t provide legal advice or tell you what you should sign.
Witness requirements depend on the document. You may provide your own witnesses, or ask about witness availability. Additional fees may apply. Witnesses must generally be adults with valid ID and cannot have a direct interest in the document.
Each signer must present a valid, government-issued photo ID (for example: driver’s license, state ID, passport). The name on the ID should reasonably match the name on the document.
Yes. Each person signing must be physically present at the time of notarization and must present valid ID.
Often, yes—depending on the situation and document requirements. Tell us what’s going on when you book so we can confirm what’s needed.
Possibly. The signer must be able to communicate sufficiently for the notary to confirm identity, willingness, and awareness. If an interpreter is needed, please mention it in advance.
Atlantic Seal Notary, LLC uses flat-fee pricing plus mileage. Your total cost typically includes:
- A flat service fee (covers the appointment and notarial act(s))

- Optional add-ons may apply (witness coordination, printing, after-hours, extended waiting time, etc.).
For an exact quote, tell us your location (city/town), the number of documents/signers, and your preferred appointment time. More information on pricing can be found on our pricing page.
Payment options can vary—ask when booking and we’ll confirm what’s available.
To keep things fast and smooth:
- Have all signers present.
- Have valid photo ID ready for each signer.
- Do not sign in advance—sign in front of the notary.
- Make sure the document is complete (no missing required blanks).
- Confirm whether witnesses are required.
Printing may be available depending on the document and page count. Let us know in advance if you need printing so we can confirm availability and any fees.
Most appointments take 10–30 minutes, depending on the number of documents, signers, and whether witnesses are required.
Sometimes, depending on the schedule and location. Expedited appointments may include an additional fee.
Availability depends on Rhode Island requirements and the type of document. If you’re looking for remote notarization, ask and we’ll tell you what options are currently available for your situation.
We appreciate as much notice as possible for changes. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee due to reserved travel and appointment time.
